Visit to the Getty Library at Wormsley
2.00pm, Thursday 25th April 2019
AMARC gave its members the opportunity to visit the library at Wormsley, the private estate of the Getty family. Housed in a castellated extension to the Getty family home, the library houses the private collection of medieval and modern manuscripts, incunabula and rare printed books, and fine bindings built up by Sir Paul Getty (1932-2003). Opportunities to see the library are rare: it is not open to the public and only a few group visits each year are accommodated.
